Half of the MOT's Faults are Avoidable

This is the General Lounge for most things to do with our roads. Indeed, most of us, at some time, use the road system in some way. With this in mind, users may post their experiences or observations here.

I change my car every three years so I haven't been for an MOT for decades.
Those who do get MOT's need to heed the advice here because you really will save money.

I generally find that people never bother until its too late.
The MOT can make or break some people.

Good tips!
I do a visual check on mine before I go for an MOT.
Having previous experience while failing for windscreen wipers that they never had the decency to phone me for a fix I do a lot myself now!
Go ahead punk, make my day!

My garage will ring me and ask if they can put the odd bulb in so it can pass the MOT.
I am happy with that but I do some small checks myself.
