Bus Blocks Level Crossing - Close Shave

Bus Blocks Level Crossing - Close Shave

Bus Blocks Level Crossing - Close Shave

Passengers on board a bus that was blocking a level crossing just don't realise what a close shave they really had. A freight train came along the tracks and managed to stop just yards from the bus as the passengers looked on.

The incident happened in Southampton, UK.

Granted, the train wasn't traveling fast but that's hardly the point.

Investigations are ongoing between First UK Bus and the British Transport Police but it is understood that the driver of the bus has left the company. A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "I can confirm the man involved with the incident was offered a driver awareness course, which he accepted. That is the action we have taken against him."

I am not surprised the bus driver doesn't work there no more. What a plonker.

I have never seen anything like this before ooooops.
I have seen road junctions been blocked many times though. Yes it wasn't a near miss but it could have been had the train driver been texting him missus

Some crap drivers out there but this wasn't a close shave.
Bus drivers do forget sometimes how long their bus actually is.

The image of the approaching train was pathetic I know but the driver could have fell asleep at the wheel. I don't think trains have steering wheels but you get my drift.
