Police Deliberately Run Over Dog To Kill It.

Here's an interesting news item where the police in Wales decided to kill a dog by running it over.
The incident happened at 3am on February 22nd 2016 on the A55 road in the area between the Llanfairfechan roundabout and the Conwy tunnel.

Apparently a dog was running loose in this area and it bit a policeman while he tried to catch it.
After weighing up all other options the police decided to drive their car at sufficient speed enough to kill the dog as quickly as possible.

Why did they not get the dogs unit in or better still, tazer it

I would like to see the police car afterwards to see what damage was caused to the vehicle paid for by the public.
