Car Plunges 80 Feet From A Cliff in Marsden Near Sunderland in the North East of England - Woman Survives 
A 25 year old woman has survived a horrific car accident in the north east of England.
The weather may have been to blame as there was thick fog on the night.
The car fell off the cliffs at Marsden - between South Shields and Sunderland.
The female driver was conscious throughout as the waves were lapping around her car.
Helicopters couldn't reach her due to the bad weather so the lifeboats had to be used.
She was taken to the RVI hospital in Newcastle where her condition was described as stable.
The driver has been very, very lucky in my opinion
